Wallets

What are wallets

Wallets are required for a user to store or transact any of the supported Assets on Fiant infrastructure.

When you create a wallet, you need to provide a currency, a wallet id and, in the case of crypto, the network you want to transact this asset on.

Balances

Wallets are the objects that maintain the balances of your users for any of our supported Assets (Fiat and Crypto). You can always retrieve the balance of any wallet by using our Wallet Details endpoint or you can retrieve all the Wallets from a user with the list User's Wallets endpoint.

Our wallets will always return 3 different balances:

  • balance: it is the total balance of your wallet
  • inflightBalance: it is the balance that is on hold due to transactions that are pending settlement/completion
  • availableBalance: it is the current available balance. It is calculated by subtracting the inflightBalance from the balance.
